Tiền Giang trip

Sometime in November, I had chance to visit Tiền Giang area with a young couple and their lovely new born daughter.

Well, actually it was Mỹ Tho area. Or somewhere nearby it. But since I've been informed that we are going to Tiền Giang, let's just make it Tiền Giang.

The distance are around 80 km, took us 3 and half hours to arrive. Although the road condition was very difficult and I was really worried about the new born baby held by her young mother's arm while the father  tried to balancing the motorcycle on the semi-constructed road. Still, everyone survived, safely but not soundly.

We arrived into a surprisingly primitive village with whole bunch of people that having lunch from 10 am to 2 pm. The relatives of the young mother were very hospitality and chatty, and I was amazed by my self that I can totally understand~~~~ (okay okay, 40 percent while other 60 were pure guess)

After the lunch, or say after the first round, I walked around the yard(s). In the south west, it seems loads river and land compounding each other. With this type of geographical condition come along with the tropical climate, no doubt that the south west is the 'corp warehouse' of the 'Nam.

I've been forced to took a nap, drank a coconut juice, ate the kernel, proposed to a very young lady as my 'Vợ', made reunion promises, and consumed a reasonably large number of green bananas before I leave. Oh, and a handful of green bananas to take away.  Honestly, I was pretty happy about it. Only my stomach disagree with it, but that's the another story.

Oh, there's one more thing. I had my 'river cross' experience~~ with my motorcycle. That was something new for me.

The strength of the framer and buffalo was beautiful. But I'm not quiet sure if he were farming or just walk the buffalo.

Peaceful street

This one doesn't looks like any street in Ho Chi Minh city. It gave me a peaful feeling.

Honda SS 67 modified, yet...

It's back!! With a relatively powerful 100cc engine set and a not really useful semi brand new side holder. However, there's always a catch... Even the power is enforced but acceleration and gear changing are not as smooth as expected. Tweaking is what it needs at the moment... Finger crossed, twice!

After few hours of discussion, I decide to let technician to modify it's poor weary heart. It will to come back to me with a brand new 100cc engine set in the end of this week with a price of 1.8 million dong. I hope this new set of engine would last longer. Finger crossed!!

Vũng Tàu trip

I was having a trip to Vũng Tàu in the end of May. It took me about 5 hours and half to get there, two hours of it were spend on fixing me ride.

The problem of my motorcycle would possibly never end if I hadn't change the engine set of it. However, except from bleeding my pocket often, it does bring me loads of fun.

As for Vũng Tàu, the view alone with atmosphere were fine, casual and salty taste full of the air. Relatively quiet and spacey than I expect. Other than that, I can not think of anything particular about Vũng Tàu.

Some of my friends did mentioned that Vũng Tàu is popular because of it's accessibility (by the people who live in Hồ Chí Minh) rather than it's beautifulness.

In my believing, maybe I was too busy on fixing my motor to appreciate the true beauty of Vũng Tàu.

In memory of ......

Now, please kindly direct your attention to the texture of the sponge roll. Does it reminds you of anything particular? Well, it does provokes an episode from the memory of mine.

It was a pleasant morning, decorated with a bit of friendly sunshine and soothly breeze. I greeted a fine young lady and she posed a generous gesture for return, a half eaten matcha and honey taste sponge cake sandwich. On the half of the remaining half, was colour yellow.

I was deeply delighted by the kindness of her. However, for a private reason, I had to decline the offer...

She went back to her country. 2 days ago.

p.s. Phnôm Pênh and Angkor Wat was about couple or several kilometers away from the borderline, am trying to figure out a way to make it.
